I just changed my steering box out for a rebuilt 99 durango unit from napa prior to my rubicon run last weekend because i broke off one of the bolts putting in my steering box brace. now i have an issue and i am not sure if my ps pump gave up the ghost or if my new box is bad.
I am not sure how to describe the feeling other than the wheel sort of pulses side to side from time to time while driving. Also sometimes steering becomes very difficult, this comes and goes. I have noticed if you put the rpm over 2,000 the power steering kicks back in and works normally.
i would love to hear your thoughts....
