The manual tranmission's fill plug is rounded off. I found some places that sell drain plugs, but are the fill and drain plugs the same?
Where can I get a replacement? (I don't wanna pay dealer $8 for it if possible)

For $8 I think id just pay the dealer. Not to be a prick but if $8 is going to bother you id find another hobby, that isnt cars. Or go to the junkyard.

You won't fine a cheaper plug unless you: Steal it, or pick it from a junk yard. (ok, maybe you'll find one for $7, but what's the difference, really)

Just buy it from the dealer. You'll know its the right one.

I know. It just seems a lot to spend on a plug on a $1000 car. I might have to.

Are you new to cars? I bought my 99 XJ for 1500, swapped everything on and still have put way over 1500 onto it. If you like the hobby and want to do better at wheeling and stuff you are going to spend way over you buying price.
