Exhaust manifold interchangeability?

Two major revisions.
All Renix and HO up to 99 are similar, and you can bolt any manifold to any head. However, the renix motors have an EGR line that threads into the collector. To keep the EGR, you would have to weld a bung onto a later mainfold.
They substantially revised the exhaust port shape on the '00 head, and the manifolds don't fit the earlier heads(They'll bolt up, but won't cover the port.)

Additionally, the HO manifolds terminate in a different spot than the Renix. Not a big problem if you replace the headpipe.
The HO has the oxygen sensor in the headpipe where the Renix has a bung in the manifold for it.

The two manifolds terminate at a different spot. Therefore a headpipe (the pipe that bolts to the collector) would need to be changed to match which ever manifold you're using.

Ah, well I have a complete system and would change everything from the header back. The headpipe is often referred to as the cross-over pipe. Fun to learn new terms.
