On a trip home i realized my pressure jumping up and down but when I excelerate it dropped to about 10 and then back up to 40 as I drove any ideas thanks-Josh

mine does that. idles at 10 and riving little under 40. Normal

no when I am driving the pressure went down to 10 then slowly came back up. and repeated each time i pushed the engine.

Replace your oil pressure sending unit.

I'd recommend buying this part directly from Jeep for the best reliability/accuracy/mating with your factory gauge.
