I just recently got done removing the air conditioning and heating system out of my 89 cherokee and have been throwing around the idea of putting my optima red top along with a deep cycle optima under the dash hidden.

Just wanted to know if anybody has done this or if there is a legitimate reason not to do so. seems like a great way to rig up a theft proof battery cut off switch?

Anyway guys lemme know what you think.:eyes: :wave1:

even though the optima is a non spillable battery, it still releases gasses as it charges that are toxic, you shouldn't have it mounted in the passenger compartment unless it is in a sealed box that is vented to the outside of the vehicle. sounds like a pain in the ass but go for it if that's what you want to do.
