You could end up having to spend some money on a cat or O2 sensor, or both. First I'd look to see what kind of shape my vacuum lines are in. When my XJ was a gross polluter I just wanted it smogged so I threw everything at it. Cat, O2, New vac harness, gas cap etc. Ergo, I can't pin it down to ONE thing. But it definitely amiss in the vacuum department...holes, cracks, missing lines...after I fixed the vacuum hoses it ran 100% better though.
