Axle swap....new spring plate too?

Going from a D35 to an 8.25. Already got the new U bolts.

Am I going to nee a new spring plate too since the new axle is 1/2" thicker or will the d35/s spacing be the same?

Literally doing the swap at amember's house in an hour or two so any info is greatly appreciated.

I dont think you'll need different spring plates, when I swapped my d44 in from the 35 I used the same plates with different ubolts.

pad size is the same

thats why the holes are slotted, as long as you didnt get huge 5/8ths ruffstuff u-bolts, they should fit.
