sye driveshaft question

I have an Advanced Adapters SYE coming and need to install it to get my 99 xj back on the road. I don't have the money to buy a driveshaft right now so I was wondering if I could take my front drive shaft and use it temporarily as my rear until I order one. I don't plan on using the 4wd so it shouldn't be an issue right?

I know that it is common, but I want to use the front drive shaft from my own jeep temporarily. I want to know if that is ok.
