auto shutdown mod ?

i am chopping up my harness to eliminate alot of things that are no longer on my 93 xj buggy. do i need to have the auto shutdown box installed or can i just cut the plug off and connect the 2 leads together to complete the circuit?

there is a box under where the rear seat would go i assume it sends the signal up to the relay and then to the fuel pump

I've seen this but wasn't sure exactly what it was I assume if you pull 12v you can run a relay and be good with this. I'm sure someone will chime in.

im sure i can just hook them together. It has to be power in and out. There are guys on here with chopped up shit that cant be running these boxes

I am not familiar with what it is. I know in my 2000 there is a box under the rear seat related to the ABS system. Could it be a roll over fuel cut off?
