well today my transfer case made the worst noise ive ever heard.

When i go into drive or 1-2 or 3 its like its only half way out of 4wheel, when im in 2 wheel or 4 wheel. but when im in reverse it seems fine? i mean it eventually started popping in and out until it stopped.

i dont even know where to start on a T-case?

Start with your Jeep. ID the: year, engine, trans, t-case. What noise did it make ?

grinddd..... thumpping noise..

im thinking mabey something with my linkage, and its no completely shifting the t-case into gear? or out of 4wd?

95, 4.0 , dont know trans or t-case

Adjust the 4x4 shifter.

.
