Hi gang. Working in my 97xj rebuild project. Has aw4, AC, 4wd, etc. During my rebuild I was no longer able to get the starter to crank. Thinking bad battery I hooked up a load tester and sure enough I had a bad cell. I happily went and picked up a new one, installed it and still no crank.
I started poking around and I thinly my relays are okay unless I have a bunch of bad ones. I have 12v at the relay/fuse box terminal under the hood. I don't seem to have any voltage across the coil terminals even when the key is put in start position.
As I see it, my options are:
1. Neutral position switch
2. Cps
3. Bad coil
Any other suggestions? Anything else I may be missing?
Thanks
