Name this wire?

Could anyone please tell me what this wire is for? The orange one barely hanging onto that relay? Found it burnt off, but didn't seem to affect anything. Stuck the wire back in to see what happened, which is nothing far as I can tell.

1990 Cherokee Laredo, 4.0, 4X4, auto trans. Selec-trac. As you can probably see, this is on the passenger side behind the battery.

be carefull with that little box... especially the stud/nut that distributes the +12v, it can break rather easily.

Ah... so it goes to the fuel pump ballast resistor. I had been having problems with a short in the fuel pump, so I guess that's what burnt it.
