Getting some new shoes for my jeep this summer, in the 35" flavor.
I live and wheel in New England, where I mostly see loose (sandy) dirt, sand on beaches, and the occasional heavy mud pit.

I was looking at the BFGoodrich KM2's, as I can get them for under 200~ per tire, but I was wondering if anyone else had a suggestion?

prolly same ones suggested in every other tire thread in the past 6 months on this forum.

id search those and see if any of the tires suggested fit what ya want,

I have the Super Swamper SSR's in a 35" size. They look great, there not bad on the street and they are pretty unique. Just get the ones that look coolest to you.

MTR/kevlar

Ive owned both the km2 and the MTR.

Ive had 2 sets of km2s

and 2 sets of MTRs.

I get bored easily.
MTR hands down.

Will you be driving in snow/ice also?

I have the KM2's and love them. There grea in the snow up here, and have done great so far on the rocks.

Your D30 should hold up just fine with 35's. Im running 35's locked and stock shafts and have never had a problem

youre not running hard enough trails. even with smart driving 35s destroy stock shafts.
Yes and no. Idrove stock shafts on 35's for a year and had no issues. But if you bind it up hard or have neavy throttle ya it can be an issue. It is completely dependant on the setup and driving style

but ya i would say upgrade the shafts and toss on a quick truss, should be good with smart driving after that

Im not arguing with you that in a bad spot they dont last worth a shit. but ya dont need to swap and axle to run 35's. put the tires in the right spot and be easy on the skinny and you can make em last. It is DOABLE, altho not suggested if you arent one for swapping a shaft every now and then

i say do able for light wheeling. i couldnt see running a place like rausch on stock shafts and 35s. lots of places to get your tires caught

all stock shafts on a 30, 35's beadlocks, 4.56's no truss, and a locker.

not really light wheeling. not hardcore, but not light

drive it right and youll be fine
