My 89 jeep cherokee has developed an intermitent stall. Only when you are doing a stop Other than that it runs fine. I have adjusted the tp and tested a new iac on it and it did not change. I have also tested for vacume leaks (using propane to see if the idle raises) and i have found nothing. Im lost lol. What else could be wrong?

Did you clean the throttle body? Very important.

Did you perform a full "test" on the throttle position sensor?

A marginal battery can create the symptom of a stall. And yes, you can have a battery that is strong enough to start the engine, but marginal enough to give the engine management system fits.

Also, be sure your EGR system is working properly.
