Can an expert tell me what year this XJ really is? The seller says it's a 2000. To me it looks like an 89 or older.

Its an older Wagoner front end. 1984-1990. However, from the little that I see on the rest of the pic is it looks like a 97+ from the mirrors and dash.

mirrors, dash, flares all look like 2000...owner either got hit and replace the grill, or just wanted the look of the old grill

Ask for the last 8 digits of the VIN. That will tell you real quick what year the Jeep is.

Interesting that they went to the trouble of color-matching the old-style bumper. It sure is ugly as sin. I'll bet it was collisioneering... body shop probably said "hey I've got the front-end to this old cherokee under my girlfriend's mom's trailer that I can let go for $500" and that was it

using what youve got to creatively solve problems... i honor this. it's a jeep part, its a cherokee part.... hey 2 out of 3, that aint bad. it doesnt look any worse than a regular waggy does (they are pretty ugly, but theres plenty of waggy fanboi's around here).
