Mojave Road East-Central

We couldn't make the Mojave trip week before with Lostjeepssocal so I decided to run the Mojave raod last weekend. We have 3 rigs my Dodge Durango, my friend Nissan Titan and Acura RDX 2wd. We started from AVI Casino to the mailbox and skipped the western part. I saved this part for another Mojave road from west to east.
After the mailbox we checked out the Afton campground and the Calico area (Mule, Phillip and Doran trails). It was a great trip. Pictures below.

I did not know the bypass until going down to the Cedar road again. This is our first time on this road. Still learning. However the Acura made it downhill without issue.

Provided you know what you're doing (don't stop in soft stuff) yes you can. Running it East to West you will be going down that rutted hill you see here, West to East that would be challenging in 2WD but is bypassable.

It was done last November in a Volkswagon Vanagon, if that can do it anything can!

I am doing the west to east October 14-16 staying at Avi Casino the night of the 15th and driving back on the 16th so we will be on the trail the 14th all day and the 15th all day. I have never done the trail and that is my birthday weekend and that is what I want to do for my birthday because it looks like a lot of fun
