I was thinking of buying another cherokee and building it for more of rally type driving. I have already built my 92 for off-roading, how would my build be different? anyone have experience building one? Should I look for one that's Auto or Manual? 2wd or 4wd?

there's other threads too. may be worthwhile to check out the jeepspeed section too depending on what type of rally class you're looking at

thanks, been reading those threads today. seems like the 2wd comanche is the choice. Finding a cherokee is easier though. seems like the comanche has less weight and longer wheel base?

Basically you wouldn't be lifting it if you're looking at WRC type rally. If you're looking at Dakar type rally, you'd be building similar to Jeepspeed but going for more beef.

go to the jeepspeed forum and ask clive his screen name is jeepspeed. he is a big rally racer and i think he made a rally XJ in the past
