Pinion yoke and U-joint Question

My son has a 96xj with the fabulous D35 under it. He has a D44 to put under it now. My Q is are the pinion yokes the same u-joint size?

The pinions are different length though, which may be an issue if you are still using the original style driveshaft

only at stock hight, 2" or more of lift you will be ok

He's putting a 3" skyjacker in.
