Electrical issues

The Badness

Hey guys, I have a 99 cherokee, 4.0 in line 4wd...yada yada yada...
My issue is something electrical in my steering column...one day, everything on my steering wheel stopped working...and my airbag light came on. the cruise controls dont work, and the buttons stopped lighting up when i turn on the lights. Its as if I've lost all power to my column. however, my turn signals, wipers, and high beam controls remain unaffected. Ive check all fuses and relays...all seem fine. Any ideas?

Yep, clock spring. I would check the connections first as robsjeepxj said, but your more than likely going to have to get a new one and pull the steering wheel. Airbag and cruise run off the clockspring since they are on the wheel and turn, turn signals, etc are in the column, and connected that way since they are stationary.
