Interior panels squeeking like crazy.

YoLately the interior panels on the interior of my 98 xj have been squeeking, I think its the hatch, because I drove it with the hatch open and there were no squeeks. Anybody else have any problems like this? Of so what did you do to stop it? Thanks

take the plastic off and drive it around again. if squeak is still there, then you know its in the hinge or latch.

I've never heard of or driven an XJ that didn't squeak, creak and rattle.
Are you sure it's a Jeep?
try some grease on the latch

Use silicone spray on all adjoining plastic panels and the tailgate weatherstrip.

Agree, just don't go overboard with the spray.
