high idle

I have a 92 xj with 4.0 and 5 speed. A while back I started experiencing a few high idle problems. I had trouble with the accelerator cable in the past so I assumed it was that but no dice. It will be fine at idle cold then as it heats up and I drive it the idle increases to sometimes almost 2k but most often around 1500. I have removed and cleaned the iac as well as cleaned out the butterfly valve. Have not removed the whole tb yet though. Anyone have a similar issue?

I'm having the same issue on my '87 (renix model). Not sure what's causing it. I've cleaned the TB and replaced the vaccum lines going to the air cleaner box. It only idles high once the engine is warmed up a bit, idles normal when it's cold. Maybe it could be some kind of sensor?

throttle position maybe...could be worth trying I guess. That is one thing I haven't done yet. Can't find any vacuum leaks either.

Spray TB cleaner around where the intake meets the head with the engine running. Could be a vacuum leak.
