so i have a pretty signifigant coolant leak somewhere on the front of the motor. I just recently did a 3 hour cleanser to the coolant system, and i assume that opened something up. It is dripping on the bottom most pulley when look up under the engine, don't see the source though.

-do i need to remove the serpentine belt to see the weep hole on the water pump?
-where else could i look?

stick your finger up behind the pulley that's on the waterpump, if there is coolant on the inside bottom of the pulley it's leaking.

here is the link that image is from http://www.4x4xplor.com/waterpump.html It's on a TJ in that writeup but the information is relatively the same, other than the fan clutch being screwed onto the pump.

sure enough, it is wet under there

Make sure it's not coming from the thermostat housing instead of the water pump.
good luck

nope, dry as a bone there.

does any manufacturer matter? I know not to get refurb. typically i get all my stuff from advance, there are always coupons for there.
