distributor O-ring?

im leaking oil really bad after my rebuild..i know its not coming from valve cover..it really looks like its coming from the distributor..should there be an oring or gasket of some sort on there?
and suggestions or ideas?

There's a gasket under there. When I had to swap distributors in my 95, after I broke the original trying to do a tune up :dunce:, I got this from NAPA when I put another JY piece in for piece of mind.

I simply cleaned up both mating surfaces and used just the gasket, 20k miles later its still good and no leaks from it.

my ccv? the front tube from the valve cover is blowing all kinds of oil into the air box..any ideas why?

The only way the distributor shaft will normally leak is if you have blowby and the crankcase isn't venting correctly. Blowby is to be expected until the rings seat, and you said you just did a rebuild. That leaves venting. Did you hook up all the vents and are all the hoses clear?

yes everything is hooked up and I just stroked it
Has less than 300 miles on it

But the ccv is blowing alot of oil on the filter

Make sure the vent line at the back of the valve cover is clear and connected to vacumn. They tend to plug up and cause more blowby and oil to end up in the air filter.
