Is this type of arrangement acceptable as a tow point?

Always worked for me and it's free (assuming you actually use your hitch and have a hitch and pin already)

I have to. Just didn't know if that would fly on a NAXJA event. If it's cool then no worries Paul.

It has not been a problem on any runs I have ran or lead.

Many years back that was a discussion on NAXJA, with the national BOD if I recall. Anyway after much debate it was decided that a strap whose loop fits snug in the receiver and a good receiver pin works just fine for NAXJA.

Is all this required for stocker type/easy runs?
Unfortunately do not have time to remove rear bumper/install my tow hitch
