I came across a thread where some people have talked about swapping in a dakota rear leaf pack... I understand I would have to relocated the shackle mount because the dakota spring is around 3" longer eye to eye, but I here they are quite flexy, and best of all quite cheap

so how much lift do stock dakota springs get you in the rear?

What you really should do is build a bastard pack, with the dakota leafs.
Depending on how many leafs you use will depend on how much lift.
For a smaller amt of lift, adding just the main spring with the eyes cut off should net around 1.5-2" So really, figure out how much lift you want and build it. YOu can always add an extended shackle as well.
But if you really want to use the leafs as is, best bet would be a shackle relocation bracket. That itself I believe adds a min of .75"
