Custom Front Bumpers?

I searched and that turned out mixed results. Are there any existing threads with lots of pictures of custom front bumpers? I'm getting ready to build one and some ideas would be sweet.

If that doesn't exist, then post all the pictures you guys have of custom front bumpers!! :clap:

SPXJ built probably the nicest custom bumpers i have ever seen. search front and rear bumpers. he doesnt have TONS of pics but im sure he would be willing to answer some questions

FrankZ's bumper doesn't cost much more then the materials. We were going to build one, but at his price, it wasn't worth the time fabricating it.

Some may think you are making a pic request which is not allowed in mod tech. Perhaps ask for ideas that have worked well in their commercial or custom bumpers.

And to show I'm a nice guy: depending on your wheeling you may want to look into mounting, sloping the front edge, tapered corners, integrated lights and/or recessed winch mount.

Agreed, if you are wanting a winch bumper and do alot of rocks, you may want a low profile design so you have a great approach angle.

On FrankZ's bumper, where can i buy?? That is one sexy bumper (sorry for the thread jack.)

Thats my bumper, lots of work, but definitely worth it. Still havent hooked up the winch, but I love the new approach angle.

@Starboard M

I LOVE your bumper! :loveu:

One question though - Why didn't you remount the auxiliary lights you had on your old bumper? Offroad lights are the best!

I never used them. I used them a lot when I was DDing the Jeep, but now that it rarely gets driven on pavement there wasnt a need of them.

So I gave them to my dad who also received my bumper. He still drives his Jeep to the trail, so he will use them a lot more than I will.

That's understandable. I run at night a lot so lights are really important to me so I want to have a brush-guard on the bumper I build to protect my Hella 700s.

Custom = Go nutz and do almost anything you want :thumbup:
