Door locks don't work when headlights are on?

My door locks wont lock (but will unlock) when the headlights are on. this is regardless of if the door is open or closed.

Any one else experience this?

lol they do that so you don't leave your lights on by accident and kill your battery.

That's what I figured, I've just never seen a vehicle do this.

I'm not used to "fancy" crap on the jeep

Can anyone else confirm this is a feature and not some odd gremlin?

My 98 does this as well. Does the same thing if the keys are in the ignition too.

Must be something on the 97+ maybe? On my 93 it doesn't make a difference if the lights are on or not.
