Antifreeze smell

Gettin a lot of antifreeze smell in the cab of my 00. Also getting some of the tell-tell oily fogging on the windshield. I have no fluid leaking on the firewall, none on the interior. Don't seem to be leaking any. Anyone else have this.



A few months ago, I did have a small leak at the hose connections on the heater core at the firewall. Installed new heater hoses and fixed that issue.

Could be a small pin-hole leak, with one of those the coolant gets dispersed by the airflow in the box so you don't see an pooling, until the leak gets worse.

If you smell coolant in the cab, it is related to the heater core.

Double check those new heater core hoses/clamps. If all is good under the hood, you may be on your way to a heater core replacement.
