Hanging Shock

Got to work this morning to find one of the welds busted on my rear axel and the shock is hanging loose (drivers side). How do I fix this?

easy fix? weld it.

easier fix? get a nut and bolt and run it through.

I was hoping you would say that. I'll probably have to do some welding, but I'm trying to avoid it. I think if I just bolt it on i'm going to end up with the lower part of the mount broken. It may already be cracked. Not sure...
