Just curious what material you guys/gals are using when making your rear bumpers. I was thinkin of using somethin like 3" x 4". Not sure on what thickness to use. atriot:
heres my bumper for example. the body is 2x4 box steel 3/16" thick. the bumper mounts to the stock location and the tie-ins down the framerail is all 1/4". and there is some 1/8" bracing thrown in there. If a thinner metal is used right it can mean a world of difference in the strength of the rest of the bumper.
keeping the weight down where possible means a lot when you are talkin about adding armor to each end of the jeep, rock rails, stiffeners, skid plates and whatnot.
