I have the factory fuel tank skid, transmission skid, and front skid on my 2001 and they do what I need them to do. Bought them off forum members and JY for a combined total of $75.

T-case, gas tank, and front diff skids are a must in my book. More is better obviously. Buy a welder and build em yourself you'll save a lot of coin. Front diff cover is probably worth buying though since they are relatively cheap

aftermarket skid plates are ridiculously expensive. check your local classifieds and craigslist, junkyards and such and just get whatever's cheapest :dunno:

Said Transmission, meant transfer case. Guess that is what happened when you post during a break on doing transmission work!
