Ok, wizards of wire, here it is. 94XJ,aw4, 4.0 Heat and A/C work fine, but when I put it to defrost the blower shuts off. Any ideas??

you ever figure this out? i'm having a similar problem. the blower works on normal a/c and bi-level but all other settings it shuts off.

Check your fan speed switch. It probably is dirty as hell on the back side.

So I figured mine out. There is a relay behind the dash on the passenger side mine was sticking. I found the wiring diagram online and it looks like when you have it on a/c it bypasses the relay and the resistor but when you put it on vent or defrost it doesn't. Hope this helps.
