so I can probably get my hands on a free front dana 44 from a 2007 rubicon.
Thanks to my father inlaw, to replace the HP 30 I currently have in the front.

as it stands I also have a 8.8 I am building to go into the rear.
I'm just kind of curious as to what kind of work am I looking at to get this thing ready to install? Possibly trimming the axle? relocating the coil spring seats?

jeep is a 96 xj sport. And it's obvious I am new to the game, any info would be greatly appreciated.

p.s I checked out the stickied write up on 44's and saw nothing to help give me an idea.

the JK tubes are known to bend. there are some milled DOM sleeves you can install. drill holes in axle tube, whack sleeve into tube, plug weld in drilled holes, clean up welds.

i believe the width of the jk axle is more than that of the xjs. you may end up needing spacers on the 8.8 to match both width and bolt patern
