Did some muddin today and everything went perfect. then on about 15 minutes into the drive home my tranny started acting up. It revs way out in first then jumps to third. I can manually shift it 1 2 3(I have a switch the P.O. wired in to control 1 and 2) but it wont do it on its won. My dad and I think its something electrical since my Jeep leaks like a wooden submarine. What do you guys think?

How much water/mud?
Check the TPS, check the connectors down to the transmission and the NSS.

Throttle position sensors hate moisture.

Check the fuses to the trans computer. http://www.transonline.com/transdigest/magazines/1997-10/Shift Pointers/index.html (Seems like I post this link a lot. )
