Jeep 02 Sensor type

Reason I ask is because I ran across a document that describes how to do some various testing on O2 sensors.

I know that Renix O2 sensors are unlike the later Jeeps. I'm sure they would have to be tested differently. Fortunately, I own a DRB-11 factory tester and I can read the sensors in real time.

I am going to replace the one in my 88MJ but I was just curious mainly.

I need to find a DRB-11 tester. That would seriously simplify my life.

Search "Renix sensor diagnostics" and I bet you'll find a test for your O2 sensor using a simple VOM.
This coming from someone who does not know how to post up a link he has to the correct site for you........
Joe Peters has the site and the expertise to attach a link for ya.

A used early DRB will run about $400-$600 if and when you can find one. I believe the new DRB III is about $5000.

A Snap-On MT2500 brick with the Jeep-1 cable and correct cartridge can usually be had for around $250 on eBay.

Lots of o2 testing info: http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1012701
