transmission hoses

Doesn't particularly matter which one goes where so long as they go to the radiator... they really only hook up one way unless you aren't using factory lines.

IIRC the top fitting on the radiator connects to a steel line that plugs into a rubber line crimped to a steel line, which plugs into the front port on the transmission housing. The bottom fitting on the radiator connects to a rubber line that is crimped to a steel line which plugs into the back port on the transmission housing. Cliff notes: top of the radiator connected to front port, bottom of radiator connected to rear port.

This is the drawing from the FSM, however if you trace the lines in the lower part of the drawing it looks wrong. The output from the tranny is supposed to go into the bottom of the cooler inside the radiator and not the top. Otherwise you can get air pockets in the cooler making it ineffective. I believe front port on the tranny is the output, which goes to the lower connection on the radiator cooler, then the upper goes to the external cooler if you have one, then to the rear return port on the tranny which just drains back into the pan.

Those lines are not pressurized and misrouting them shouldn't cause the problem you posted in http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1046027 unless they are totally plugged.
