I just got another jeep. I loved my last one. The 94 xj country only has 100000 on her. I noticed a leak of antifreeze coming from where the bottom of block bolts to the transmission. I got a better price for noticing and was informed it was a frost or freeze plug. Cheap part and labor intensive pulling the transmission. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the leak could be. I would like to get this fixed before winter. I am also in need of some help with back windows only going down from the master control. My goal is to get her running good for this winter and upgrade next summer. As this will be my winter daily driver and summer fun.

Everything you need to know about the freeze plugs, and how to get the job done: http://www.jeep-xj.info/HowtoWelshPlugs1.htm

Note that the second page describes doing the head/rear of block.

Personally, when one goes others are soon to follow, you might as well do them all. With the appropriate tool you shouldn't have to pull the manifolds: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/im..._image_text_0?ie=UTF8&n=15684181&s=automotive

Note that not all freeze plug tools are created equal. The one in the picture has a ball end--that is good as it allows greater angles.
