There is a thread here in the Colorado chapter but now that they have been released Ill start this one in mod tech.

Old thread, http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1030585&highlight=tomken+tube+flares

Is anyone running a set of these? The rears look somewhat similar to the tubes Cruzin did being tied into the 1/4 armor and running a strip down the front of the wheel well. The fronts are similar as well, being tied into the flat plate then bolted down over the full fender. Id like to see the fronts extend down to the bottom of the fender but they still look nice. The cost a pretty penny though, might be motivation for many just to buy a welder and make their own.

Anyone have a set yet? If so, how you like them?

$1,172 for front and rear... WTF?

I like them but there's no way for that money.

That's my issue with them, the fact that I will be buying a welder sometime soon is one reason I will not be purchasing them. I figure Id post em up though, I wasnt sure many people had seen them yet. The only other tube flares like these are the ones from Those Guys Rods and Customs, http://home.comcast.net/~thoseguys/offroad/random_fabrication/xj_fender_tube_flares_and_r.html, and iirc, I was quoted about $250 per corner for them w/o the 1/4 armor. I think these are more of a custom/made per request product for them.

I figure for about $1200 I could have a set of 1/4 armor, tubes and a nice welder if I did it myself.
