Quick Wiring Question...

-Ive been upgrading all of my wiring & am using 2 guage for the battery cables. Ofcourse i want to do the alternators power lead but the stock wire goes into a harness/plug & runs thru the underhood fuse box. Theres only 3 wires connected to the batteries pos terminal, the starter, the wire TO that under hood fuse box, & one for my accessories that splits up with fuse blocks & splitters.

-Hopefully this question isnt a really dumb one, but can i just take the positive wire off, tuck it away & run my own 2g directly from the alt to the battery (with the 125a inline fuse), & call it a day??
