rockers not in line with valve stem

I'm rebuilding my 4.0, mostly reassembled now, about half the rockers are noticeably offset from the tip of the corresponding valve stem. I am reusing the rockers, bridges and pushrods. The wear mark on each of the rockers is perfectly centered. Is it possible the bridges were bent at removal? Anyone seen this before?

Possibly. The bridges are a bit weak and can be bent when removing or reassembling. They may also move back to the correct location when it has been run.

If you are reusing old parts they should be put back exactly where they were removed from.

I've seen the bridges twist when removing them, i just twisted them back and called it good.

10,000 miles later no problems

I put my rockers back exactly where they came from and some wouldnt line up perfectly. So i just torqued everything down and 3k miles later, not one issue, You should be fine
