double din stereo in a 92???

havent seen it done yet, but im thinking it can be done, would take heater control modifications... what does everybody think?

Not gonna happen unless you remove your a/c ducting and put the controls in a different place all together.

well the heater controls could move up to the stereo spot, and then remove the center vent... but i dont know if it is a whole duct behind the vent or not? if so then would take some modification

Yeah I'm gonna soon cuz I have a double din pioneer in my fox mustang and I have to sell it so I would love to have it in my xj

The center "vent" is attached directly to a MUCH larger piece of plastic, which is your duct work. It wont work without completely moving your controls to a different spot, and unless you are good at fabing cables, that will be much harder to do than its worth. I installed a 7" TFT monitor, and it BARELY fits. Its only about 1/2" thick.

There is a reason you have never seen it done.
