antiseize, not threadlock on pinion nuts, right?!?

Can't reach FSM and/or recommended torque setting for D30 pinion nut with red loctite. duh :nono:

Now thinkin' that light oil or anti-sneeze is standard practice, no?!?

Nah - there's a reason you can get big, honkin' torque wrenches!

If you use engine oil, reduce the "clean, dry" torque spec by 1/3.

If you use never-seez, reduce the "clean, dry" torque spec by 1/2.

For those of us who don't have "big, honkin' torque wrenches," the use of never-seez becomes standard practise, and is acceptable. I think my biggest torque wrench hits 150 pound-feet...
