Tera Low 231 question

I'm considering the Tera Low 4-1 conversion for my 231. I have read that they are noisy. I was wondering if they make noise all the time, or only when engaged in low?

Appreciate any feedback. Mac

Ranger Rick's tcase makes a nasty whine when in low.

Cool. I can live with that. I enjoy having a quiet Jeep on the highway going to to Utah though. Thanks for the info.

My Tera low kit is definately louder than my Rocktrac but its not "noisy".

Been running the TeraLow kit in the NP231 with an AX15 since 2001 and have used Redline synthetic ATF to keep the chain and planetary gears running cooler.

Not really,other than the fact that the 241 is pure "beef". Ive had my Tera-low since 2000 and also run synthetic fluid.I do wish I had installed the 2-low kit though.

Mine too. Spend the extra $100 for a 2low while you have the case apart, it's the best mod I have done to the Jeep (and there have been a lot).

Edit: Didn't realize the 2low kit was $250 now. I'd still save up and do it all at once.

And, it doesn't make any noise in high range, just slightly more in low range.
