Coolant flush

So i just got the prestone flush system, with the TEE fittings to flush it out with a garden hose. The problem is that the kit says to install the TEE on the hose leading to the Thermostat housing, while everything im reading on here says to install it to the hose leading to the water pump. Any clarification?

put it on the upper heater hose that connects to the thermostat housing

Just put the "T" in the hose from the thermostat to the firewall.

If you want to backflush the heater core swap hoses at the firewall.

Thanks, I just refilled the system so I'll have to remember that for next time. Hopefully neglecting the heater core won't negate what I just did.
