back up light problems

I cannot figure out why either of my back up lights do not work--all my other lights work.. I changed bulbs looked for blown fuses etc.. cant find anything wrong need help
 
Search for NSS cleaning/ service. The neutral safety switch will cause this concern.

Also this forum is instituting a 3-day ban for failure to provide basic vehicle information in a technical post. You may get lucky- or you may not. :)
 
Let me guess--automatic transmission?

If so, probably your NSS, neutral safety switch, it controls your backup lights when you shift into reverse.

Now, what are your BASICS--year/engine/transmission/etc.?
