2000 coil pack to distributor?

Is it possible to switch from the coil pack ignition system to a distributor on the 2000 4.0s? If so, are there any write ups or other information on it out there?

I have not been able to find anything like this, so that may be my first clue..lol

There is no write-up because there is no reason to do this. The coil on spark system works great and needs less maintenance. You would have to get a distributor compatible ECU and multiple wire harnesses.

Explain further what it is you are trying to do or why you think this swap is a good idea ?

While possible, probably not legal. Check with your local DMV and Emissions offices.
