motor swap

I have a 2000 cherokee and blew a rod in my motor and I found a 2003 4.0 motor out of a rubicon and I am just curious if I could use that motor to replace my motor any help would be great thanks.

Like Talyn said, there are enough small changes in the motors between the XJ and WJ/TJ to make the swap pretty annoying.

I put a motor from a '98XJ in my '01XJ and the only modification I had to do was to buy an adapter plate for the exhaust manifold. The cylinders heads on the XJ's prior to '00 had larger exhaust ports than the '00-'01 XJs.
