Water leak

Last night I noticed water dripping from a hole in the frame rail under the passenger seat. I looked around and found there is what looks like a small drain hose coming out of the firewall, into the engine bay, on the passenger side which is directed downwards and water was dripping out of that and running down the frame rail. Anybody know what this hose is? This is on a 2001 XJ I6, with ac.

condensation drain for the HVAC system. Completely normal for it to "leak" when the AC is in use.

I was thinking that might be the case but I really haven't used the AC even though its been hot.

defroster in the evenings/mornings? if you leave the controls in defrost it'll do the same thing.

OK Thanks. I will monitor it for a couple of weeks maybe I accidentally had the ac on low and didn't notice it.
