I know where I can get a set of cragar steel wheels for dirt cheap. They are 15x8 with 4" backspacing. I want to put 30x9.5 tires on these rims. will this combo work on my 92 xj with no lift? would the 8" inch rims be ok for these tires? this xj does not or will ever get wheeled hard.just the occasional muddy trail and snow. thanks,Ben

eh, 30s on no lift, im not sure...
theyll fit with a 2inch budget booster, but with no trimming, 30s are kind of steep

they will fit but they WILL rub on full crank right or left or any flex..

Yeah, they'll work with no lift. If you scroll through some of the Readers Rigs, or search, you'll see a few of them with 30's and no lift. It's a tight fit but it'll work for street driving.

yea, youll notice a rub when turning tight in, say, parking lots, or when offroading and flexing

IMO You would be much better off to do a budget boost if you want the 30's.
