AC question

Been running 106 degrees and wifes A/C in her 89 4.0 keeps popping the fuse under the dash. Searched and didn't find much. So is there any known issues with the system that I should look at first.
Put a fuse in and it may last a day, hour or minute.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Remove the fuse block from the firewall, clean the back side and check for damage to the fuse block/wiring from possible brake fluid running down the firewall from the MC.
